Grey and Frayed

I'm not sure if you guys have noticed yet or not, but I almost never wear tight tops. I live in oversized sweaters and tees! I got this one from Zara (it's now on sale!) and it's been a staple in my closet because of the neutral color and how comfy and warm it is. I bought it in yellow as well for when I want to get a little funkier. I paired it with my Chanel booties (which I've found to be so versatile as far as being able to dress up or down,) frayed jeans also from Zara (and also now on sale!) and my black Valentino bag. Sunnies are by Ray-Ban

Camel + Stripes

I'm currently in New York City and having the best time ever! I'm working on a post with all of my favorite spots for you guys, so stay tuned on that. I got to shoot this look right before I left and considering half my wardrobe is striped, I figured it was time to incorporate some of that into an outfit post! So here goes..

Choo Game

Hope everyone's doing great! Things have been really busy for me but in a good way. I'm not sure how many of you know this but I'm a graphic designer full time on top of blogging and I've been really busy gearing up for the holidays. I also recently took up painting as a hobby and it's been SO much fun. Anyways, here is a new fall outfit post. It's still been relatively warm in LA which is nice, so I got to wear one of my favorite pairs of platform sandals. Let me know your thoughts! xo

Frayed Denim + Red Bottoms

Hi everyone! Hope you've all been doing well. It's been a while since I've done a full outfit post but I'm excited to share this one with you!  As you might already know if you've been following me for a while, I love my denim everything.... overalls, tops and obviously pants. For this look, I decided to wear my new clutch that I am in LOVE with. It's tiled up with tiny white squares and gold studs and made out of iron. I don't think I've ever owned a metal bag before but I'm sold.

You can shop my look below. The top I'm wearing is sold out so I linked some alternate options. Also, for somer reason the bag is showing up in a different color, but if you click on it you can order the black and white one I have.  Let me know if you have any issues or you want me to link more options at different price points :) xo

Asymmetrical Top

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a great week so far. I had fun styling this outfit and loved how the shoes pick up the color pops in my shirt. I think picking an asymmetrical piece is a great way to mix things up when you're feeling a bit funky! I love skirts with an asymmetrical hem as well and hopefully I can do another outfit like that soon. The one think I haven't seen is asymmetrical pants. Have you? I wonder how that would look! Would love to see if you have any examples to show me.

Business-Chic Attire

I bought this dress a few months back and thought it was such a beautiful piece that I could wear to work meetings as well as to daytime events. To me, a shirt dress should be a staple in every woman's wardrobe. It's so easy to throw on and automatically look put together! I paired this one with my Gucci studded heels, Celine trapeze bag and a pair of glasses I bought at Forever 21 a few years back.

Overalls!

I love that 90's fashion is coming back in! I'm so happy I get to wear chokers again and of course, overalls. They look super cute with a white tee, striped tee or even a white button down. They are also versatile enough to style with sandals, chucks or bright pumps, like I did here. The possibilities are endless!

Shades of Red

The weather really heated up in LA this past weekend so I was really excited to shoot an outfit in my cutoffs. I decided to pair the shorts with everything red and I thought the result was really fun! Using multiple shades of a single color throughout your outfit can be a great way to keep it cohesive yet also far from boring. Give it a try and tag your instagrams with #melronnie so I can see all of the beautiful outfits you've styled!

Dressing Up Destroyed Denim

Ripped jeans are super casual on their own, but it's easy to dress them up as long as you pair them with the right top and accessories! For this outfit, I went with a lace slip top, light leather jacket and patent leather pumps. This look is something you can wear with flats and no jacket during the day. Just leave your heels and bag in the car for a quick change into a night-time look before heading out of the office for dinner or drinks.

Neutrals & Faux Fur

The weather has been so up and down but I'm glad I had a chilly day this past weekend to wear this outfit before it starts to really get warm over here! I decided to go with all white as a base and top off my outfit with my neutral faux fur coat, and neutral bag and gold studded pumps.

Jacket - I bought this one abroad. Similar here and here.

Tank - Forever 21 (I just bought this one at the store last week, but I can't find it online yet. I'll keep checking and keep you posted with a link as soon I see it on their website.)

Jeans - Zara

Heels - Gucci

Braided Top

I'm definitely a sucker for basics and love to pair oversized tees with skinny jeans, but this time I thought I'd give it a little twist by throwing on this Zimmermann top. I really love the braided sleeve and think it gives it a nice, not so basic detail while still staying young and casual.

I also love these Toms clip-on sunnies because I can wear them as prescription glasses at the office and just clip on the polarized piece before I step outside. Even if you don't have a prescription, I still recommend them because they just have a cool and different look than what you might be used to!

Top - Zimmermann

Jeans - Zara. No longer available. Similar here.

Bag - Proenza Schouler PS Large Courier. No longer available in this color, but you can buy it in black here and blue here

Sunnies - Toms.

Denim & Fringe

It was nice and warm in LA today so I decided to pull out my denim dress and just bought these suede fringe heels to go with them. They were from Forever21 but are genuine suede! Did you know they made real leather shoes? They are super affordable and I thought they were really cute so I went for it. See the link below if you want to order a pair! Tip: I got mine half a size down, as these seemed to run a bit big.

Bag - Céline.

Dress - Forever 21. I don't see this one online, but check out your local store. I didn't buy it too long ago. There is also this similar one available online. (On sale for only $18!)

Heels - Forever 21.

Bright & Patterned Accents

Valentino makes the coolest shoes and bags! I love how they stud everything up and aren't afraid to use vibrant colors and patterns. An easy trick when in doubt is to go all black with the clothing and pop it up with fun accents. This time I went for these camouflage pumps and a neon yellow cross body.
